Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how SWIQ SERVICES ("SWIQ", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains information when you use the SWIQ mobile application (iOS and Android), the website at swiq.services, the backend API at api.swiq.services, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use and contact us at support@swiq.services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide and improve the Service. The types of information depend on whether you are a customer, service provider, staff member, or enterprise user.
1.1 Account Information
- Customer accounts: name, email address, phone number, login method (email, Google, or Apple), profile preferences, and notification settings.
- Provider accounts: business name, owner name, email, phone number, business category, address, service descriptions, profile images, and staff account details.
- Enterprise accounts: all provider information above plus sub-client profiles, staff access levels, and organizational settings.
1.2 Booking and Queue Information
- Provider selected, date, time slot, shift, token number, queue position, and live status.
- Booking creation, modification, cancellation, reschedule, and completion records.
- Delay updates, notification history, and attendance records.
1.3 Device and Technical Information
- Device type, operating system version, app version, browser type, and language settings.
- IP address, approximate location (city-level), and network connection details.
- Error logs, crash reports, usage events, and performance diagnostics.
- Push notification tokens required to deliver booking alerts and queue updates.
1.4 Payment Information
- Subscription plan selected, billing cycle, transaction references, and payment status.
- Full payment card, UPI, and banking credentials are handled by our payment provider (Razorpay) and are not stored by SWIQ. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs payment data processing.
1.5 Camera and Photo Access
- Camera: used only when you choose to scan a provider QR code to open a booking profile. Camera access is not used for background recording.
- Photo library: used only when a provider uploads profile, gallery, or business images. Uploaded images may appear on the provider profile and service pages.
Important: We do not collect biometric data, Aadhaar numbers, financial account numbers, or health records. SWIQ facilitates appointment booking but does not store medical, financial, or government-issued identity information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- Service delivery: creating and managing accounts, displaying appointment availability, managing live queues, processing bookings, and sending booking-related notifications.
- Queue management: tracking tokens, calculating estimated wait times, sending delay alerts, and displaying live status updates to customers and providers.
- Provider tools: enabling staff dashboards, analytics, QR profile management, subscription controls, and multi-location enterprise management.
- Communications: sending booking confirmations, reschedule alerts, cancellation notices, queue updates, subscription reminders, and account security notifications.
- Payments: processing subscription plans, verifying payment status, managing billing cycles, and preventing subscription misuse.
- Improvement: analyzing usage patterns, debugging errors, improving app performance, and developing new features.
- Security: detecting fraud, preventing unauthorized access, protecting accounts, and ensuring the reliability of the Service.
- Legal compliance: fulfilling obligations under applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and related rules.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data in the following circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
We share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the Service, including:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Database and storage services
- Authentication and login providers (Google, Apple Sign-In)
- Payment processing (Razorpay)
- Push notification services (Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification Service)
- Analytics and error monitoring tools
- Customer support and communication tools
These providers are contractually bound to use the data only for providing services to SWIQ and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
3.2 Provider and Business Context
When a customer books an appointment, the relevant provider receives the booking details necessary to fulfill the service, including the customer's name, contact information, and booking details.
3.3 Enterprise Accounts
Enterprise account owners can access operational data for sub-clients and staff accounts under their enterprise organization.
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, government directive, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SWIQ, our users, or the public, in accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000 and applicable Indian law.
3.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your data.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) between the app, website, and API endpoints.
- Encrypted storage of sensitive data at rest.
- Role-based access controls for staff, providers, and enterprise accounts.
- Regular security assessments and monitoring for unauthorized access attempts.
- Secure authentication via email, Google, and Apple Sign-In with session management.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact support@swiq.services immediately.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes:
- Active accounts: account data, booking history, and provider profiles are retained while the account remains active.
- Closed accounts: data may be retained for up to 90 days after account closure to allow for recovery, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
- Operational records: booking logs, analytics aggregates, and system records may be retained in anonymized form for service improvement and statistical purposes.
- Legal and compliance: certain records may be retained as required by Indian law, including tax records, payment receipts, and fraud prevention data.
- Support records: correspondence related to support requests may be retained for up to 24 months after resolution.
6. Your Rights
Under the Information Technology Act 2000 (including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, you have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for data processing where processing is based on consent.
- Objection: object to the processing of your data for specific purposes.
To exercise your rights: send a request to support@swiq.services from your registered email address. We will respond within 30 days as required under Indian IT rules. Please include your registered email, phone number, and the specific right you wish to exercise.
6.1 Account Deletion
You may delete your SWIQ account at any time by contacting support@swiq.services. Upon deletion:
- Your profile, booking history, and personal data will be removed from active systems.
- Provider profiles and business data will be retained as the provider's business records.
- Some records may be retained where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment records, or unresolved support issues.
- Anonymized booking data may be retained for aggregate analytics.
7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The SWIQ website at swiq.services uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies: required for basic site functionality, session management, and security.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors interact with the website, which pages are visited, and where errors occur. We use privacy-focused analytics that do not track individual users across sites.
- Preference cookies: remember your settings and preferences to improve your browsing experience.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality. The SWIQ mobile app does not use cookies; it uses device-level storage for session and preference management.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We do not sell cookie data to third parties.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

9. Children's Privacy
The SWIQ Service is intended for customers and service providers who can independently use appointment booking services. The Service is not designed for or directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact support@swiq.services.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, applicable laws, or business operations change. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or website.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
